Project Overview
This scheme covered the construction and surfacing of newly formed access roads within a residential housing development. The objective was to deliver a durable, well-finished tarmac surface that supports safe day-to-day vehicle use while complementing the clean appearance expected of modern estates.
All works were planned and executed with attention to quality, safety, and long-term performance, from initial groundwork through to the final rolling stages.

Works Completed
Our scope included the full preparation and installation process required for a reliable roadway:
- Formation and levelling of the road foundation
- Installation of kerbing and edge restraints to establish clear road lines
- Machine-laid hot asphalt to achieve a uniform surface depth
- Hand-finishing to refine edges, curves, and tie-in points
- Final compaction using rollers to ensure strength and smoothness
Each stage was carried out in line with industry best practice to deliver a consistent and robust finish.
Site Coordination & Delivery
The project was completed within a live construction environment, requiring careful coordination alongside other ongoing site activities. Our team worked flexibly around changing site conditions, maintaining access routes and sequencing operations efficiently to avoid delays to the wider development.
Additional care was taken around bends, junctions, and transitions to ensure correct levels, smooth flow, and effective drainage across the roadway.

Completed Outcome
The finished access road delivers a smooth, even surface that enhances both the functionality and visual standard of the development. Designed to withstand regular residential traffic, the tarmac surface offers long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance requirements.
This project highlights our experience in delivering dependable road surfacing solutions for residential developments, private estates, and wider infrastructure projects.
